In a sensitive and important visit to Syria, General Esmail Qaani met with a number of government, military, security and political leaders as well as public figures in Damascus.
He participated in joint military exercises between Iran and Syria and visited several sensitive areas of Syria to review Syria’s military and security challenges and deal with them.
During the visit, General Esmail Qaani stressed that the United States bears responsibility for insecurity, anarchy, terrorism and corruption in Syria, the Middle East and the world.

He said: Syria and Iran are brotherly countries and they have wonderful, comprehensive and deep strategic relations. The Islamic Republic of Iran will stand with the people and leadership in facing the challenges.
It is noteworthy that General Esmail Qaani stands with the countries supporting resistance and fighting against arrogance and imperialism. Under this, he has visited many countries of the region.
