Israeli forces killed two Palestinians in Nablus raid

According to Palestinian officials, during a raid in Nablus in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces fired live ammunition, killing at least two Palestinians and injuring two more.

Israeli troops reportedly stormed the Old City of Nablus, which is about 49 kilometers (30 miles) north of al-Quds, on Friday morning and surrounded a house, according to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA.

Two Palestinian teenagers, Hamza Maqbool and Khairi Shaheen, were killed as a result of them opening fire on the structure.
After the two teenagers were killed, fights broke out, which resulted in the injuries of two additional Palestinian teenagers. The report claims that they were shot with live ammunition in the foot and back.

During the armed clashes, three additional people, according to local sources, were also detained.

The development occurred a few days after Israeli forces conducted a two-day operation against the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, which resulted in the deaths of at least 12 Palestinians, the injury of about 100 others, and extensive property damage.

During the raid on Jenin, one Israeli soldier was killed.

After an incursion that lasted 44 hours, Israeli troops finally withdrew from Jenin on Tuesday evening.

According to Physicians for Human Rights Israel (PHRI), the Israeli military assault on Jenin resulted in attacks on three hospitals, “severely damaging their operational capacity.”.
During the attack on Jenin, the Israeli military also stopped ambulances from transporting the injured, and, “in a further escalation, Israeli forces stormed Jenin’s government hospital, firing tear gas and live bullets,” the human rights organization claimed in a tweet.

In the past two years, the Israeli government has increased the number of Palestinians it has killed and injured during its military operations in the occupied West Bank.

As a result of the Israeli raids that targeted Palestinian towns, villages, refugee camps, and holy sites, Palestinian factions launched an armed uprising.
