Palestinian families evacuated out of their homes by Israeli force in Janin

As the Israeli regime continues its brutal aggression against the camp’s inhabitants, hundreds of Palestinian families in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin and its refugee camp have been forced to leave their homes.

The brutal assault on the Jenin camp by Israeli forces began on Monday when the forces of the regime made both the camp and the entire city of Jenin the target of their relentless ground and aerial assaults.

The barbaric offensive, which primarily targets the Jenin refugee camp, has already claimed the lives of more than 10 Palestinians and injured dozens more.

Israeli troops reportedly forced hundreds of families in the Jenin camp to leave their homes in anticipation of destroying them in order to reach the resistance fighters, according to a statement released by the Palestinian Red Crescent on Monday.

The statement confirmed that approximately 500 families had left the Jenin camp, and it added, “We are facing difficulty in moving inside the camp as roads are closed due to the destruction” brought on by Israel’s attack.

As Israeli authorities threaten to destroy the entire camp, it was reported that 3,000 Palestinian residents of Jenin have already been evacuated, and the number is growing.
Palestinian residents leaving their homes claim Israeli forces fired live ammunition at them while they were inside their homes and that the regime’s forces threatened to target them if they resisted.

Palestinian media claims that Israeli forces fired gas bombs at the camp’s inhabitants as they were leaving.
The Israeli army is purposefully destroying homes in the Jenin camp after evicting their occupants, according to the mayor of Jenin, who spoke with Palestinian media outlets.

In response to the regime’s cruel actions, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry released a statement strongly denouncing “the crime of evicting and displacing Palestinian families in the Jenin camp from their homes under flimsy security justifications”.

The Palestinian factions’ coordination committee also declared Tuesday to be a day of general strike, which will be observed by people from all walks of life. Additionally, a sizable rally “to support our people who are facing a massacre in the city and camp of Jenin” will take place at noon, it was added.”

A senior member of the Islamic Jihad movement claimed that Israel’s so-called transfer project, which the occupying power is attempting to implement in the West Bank, includes the forcible eviction of Palestinian residents from their homes.
In a related development on Monday, the Palestinian Authority (PA), which has its headquarters in the city of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, urged the international community to act to defend Palestinians against Israeli aggression and impose sanctions against the government, while denouncing “the ongoing terrorist aggression against Jenin and its refugee camp.”

“I instructed the government and its agencies to make every effort to support our people in Jenin in maintaining their steadfastness. Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the PA, urged the Palestinian people to “stand firm and steadfast in these difficult moments.”

Additionally, he exhorted all Palestinian factions to come together “and defend the land, sanctuaries, and legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to freedom and independence.”
