NNPP Demands Lagos WASCE, GCE Results At A/Ibom Guber Tribunal

At the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Uyo, the state capital, the allegation of forgery of the West Africa School Certificate Examination (WASCE) and the General Certificate in Education (GCE) leveled against the governor of Akwa Ibom state is still causing controversy. The governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has now entered the debate.

Senator John Akpanudoedehe, who flew the NNPP Governorship flag during the elections, stormed the Tribunal over the weekend and demanded that the West African Examination Council (WAEC) produce all of the Lagos state results in order to sort out the disputed results of Governor Eno, who obtained the documents after graduating from Victory High School in Ikeja, Lagos state.
The resolution of Mr. A is one of the additional sets of prayers that the former National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the center is requesting. the election was declared invalid overall by a panel led by Adeleye, and a new election was held to fill the position of state governor.

The petitioners also ask for a declaration that Umo Bassey Eno, the first respondent, was ineligible to run for governor of Akwa Ibom State on March 18, 2023, and was not, therefore, legitimately elected or returned elected by the third respondent.
“An Order voiding the election and return of the First Respondent as Governor of Akwa Ibom State in the election held on the 18th day of March 2023 by the Third Respondent.

“An Order ordering the third respondent to revoke the Certificate of Return issued to the first respondent as the victor of the election to the office of Governor of Akwa Ibom State held on the 18th day of March 2023.
“An Order directing the third respondent to conduct a new election for the position of governor of Akwa Ibom State within 90 days.”
