Plans to seize at least 70 Palestinian homes in the occupied southern West Bank have been initiated by Israeli occupation authorities.
On Sunday, the director of the Palestinian government body known as the al-Khalil Construction Committee, Imad Hamdan, stated that Israeli authorities intend to transfer the Palestinian homes in the Old City of the governorate of al-Khalil to Israeli settlers.
Hamdan continued, “The Israeli raid of the Nasreddine Building is the beginning of the Israeli plan’s implementation.”

Hamdan also emphasized that Palestinians “are the genuine owners of these homes and shops” at the same time. The official stated once more that local and international laws protect Palestinian ownership of these buildings and prevent forced expulsion.
In the meantime, Palestinian activist Issa Amro in al-Khail slammed the committee for its “weak response” to the Israeli plans.
“The start of the Israeli plan’s implementation, which was announced earlier this year, sounds a dangerous alarm.” He said. “The constrained ejection of Palestinians out of Nasreddine Building, which is situated in the most delicate spots in the Old City, is definitely not an occurrence to pass with next to no authority activity.”
Amro blamed the council for organizing the robbery of Palestinian property with the Israeli involving specialists.
