Hezbollah strikes Israeli military sites with artillery shells, rockets

Fighters from the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah have launched salvos of artillery rounds and rockets at Israeli military sites close to the border between the Arab country and the 1948 Israeli-occupied territories.

Lebanon’s Arabic-language al-Manar television channel, citing a Hezbollah statement released on Saturday, reported that the group carried out an artillery attack on Burket Risha and Jardah at around 2:30 p.m. local time (1130 GMT) on Saturday.

The statement said the strike resulted in damage to the targeted sites, and inflicted casualties among Israeli troops.

In another statement, the resistance movement said its precision-guided missiles also struck the Israeli military base in the al-Marj region.

Lebanese sources also announced that Hezbollah had targeted the al-Abad military site, outside the southern town of Houla on the country’s border with the occupied territories.

The party said it damaged equipment with the targeted rocket strike on Abad.

The Israeli military, in response to the missile and rocket attacks, struck a number of Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon.

On Friday, Hezbollah launched anti-tank guided missiles and opened fire with light arms at an Israeli military position near Avivim, and against the Misgav Am area.

Hezbollah’s Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem stated on Tuesday that the Lebanese movement is at the core of the regional resistance campaign to defend the Gaza Strip against the ongoing Israeli aggression.

Sheikh Qassem said in a post published on social media that Hezbollah has its “finger on the trigger” to whatever extent it deems necessary to defend Gaza and to face off the occupiers of Palestine.

He said the United States and Europe should be held accountable for the atrocities committed by the Zionist regime of Israel against children and women in Gaza.

Hamas resistance fighters fire rockets at Dimona

Meanwhile, Palestinian Hamas resistance fighters launched volleys of rockets from the Gaza Strip at occupied lands.

Rocket alarm sirens sounded in the vicinity of the southern Israeli town of Dimona, including in several Bedouin towns on Dimona’s outskirts, including Ar’ara BaNegev, Abu Talul, Mamshit, Abu Qrenat and Qasr al-Sir.

Explosions were heard over the area, according to the Times of Israel. No injuries or damage were reported in the aftermath of the rocket barrage.

Hamas: Israeli forces will be taken down a peg in Gaza

Hamas announced in a separate statement that fighters from its military wing – the Izz ad-Din Qassam Brigades – and other Palestinian resistance groups prevented Israeli forces from making any advances in their ground operations, and inflicted heavy losses on them.

It said that Gaza has been and will be the burial ground of aggressors, noting that resistance fighters will take Israeli troops down a peg in the enclave.

“The era of bullying without taking on accountability is over. The enemy will not be able to restore the image of the strategic defeat it suffered on October 7,” the statement read.

Qassam Brigades: We are waiting for enemy forces in ground battles

Additionally, the spokesman for Qassam Brigades said the era of delusions about Israel’s military and intelligence superiority is over, and humiliating defeats await the occupying regime.

Abu Obaida stated that the Israeli military and intelligence apparatus crumpled together by Operation al-Aqsa Strom, and the Palestinian resistance front tasted victory at that time.

He stated that strikes on residential buildings and hospitals only bring more shame and disgrace on Israel, stressing that his comrades are waiting for Israeli soldiers to put boots on the ground in Gaza.

“We will teach them the true meaning of military prowess and sacrifice. We will inflict a heavy defeat on the enemy. We are not calling upon Arab rulers to mobilize their armed forces in defense of the children of Gaza or holy sites as we have already undertaken the task of destroying Israel,” Abu Obaida said.

He emphasized that Israel is massacring Palestinians in retaliation for its ignominious defeats, pointing out that all Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons must be freed in exchange for Israeli captives in Gaza.
