Putin condemns the West’s “economic aggression” promises to act quickly

Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, decries the “economic aggression” that the “collective West” is using against the nation and promises that Moscow will take “proactive” action against the West’s hostile economic campaign.

According to Russia Today, Putin made the remarks when he addressed Russia’s Council of Legislators in St. Petersburg on Friday that the country would strengthen ties with nations in Eurasia, Africa, and Latin America in order to combat the monetary hostility of the West.

Since Russia began a special military operation against Ukraine in February, the West, led by the United States, has imposed numerous rounds of sanctions on the country. Moscow has criticized the West’s incessant arming of Kyiv and the bans as ineffective measures that would only serve to prolong the conflict.

In addition, rather than simply “waiting out” the difficult times, Putin urged the country’s lawmakers and other authorities to work “proactively” against Western economic measures.

“Basis for the long-term, independent, and successful development of our country” was his call for action.

Separately, Putin emphasized that Russia would not adhere to other people’s invented “rules.”

“In some countries, our partners—or, one might say, former partners—are maniacally destroying the legal framework and communication channels in an effort to impose their views and so-called rules on everyone. What are the regulations? No one saw them,” he expressed.

He added that these nations’ attitude has had a negative impact on international diplomacy.

“However, we won’t follow their rules…,” the Russian head of state attested.

Simultaneously, be that as it may, Russia isn’t going to “hole up” itself all things considered.

“We are not going to leave Russia to isolate itself. On the contrary, we are going to expand pragmatic, equal, mutually beneficial, exclusively cooperative relations with friendly countries in Eurasia, Africa, and Latin America,” he said.
