US police murder homeowner after showing up at wrong address

In response to a domestic violence call this week, US authorities have released bodycam footage of a shooting on April 5 in which three New Mexico police officers opened fire and killed a resident after arriving at the wrong address.

The Farmington Police Department has released videos from the officers’ body cameras that show them arriving at a residence and announcing themselves before firing.

According to local and state police, New Mexico officers mistakenly arrived at Robert Dotson’s house, which was just across the street from where the incident had been reported, after receiving a phone call about a domestic violence incident.

Dotson opens the door with a handgun after one of the officers can be heard knocking on the homeowner’s door in the video. Dotson was knocked to the ground as soon as the officers started shooting at him with multiple rounds.

About a moment a short time later, a lady can be heard shouting inside the home, inciting more shots to ring out.

Authorities claim that Dotson’s wife fires back from the doorway, not knowing who is at the door, which causes the officers to fire again.

In the video, Dotson’s wife can be heard pleading with officers. Help! My husband was shot by someone. Please! Please! She yells, “My kids are upstairs.”

After the gunfire stops, alarms can be heard booming as additional officials show up. It actually stays a secret why the officials arrived up at some unacceptable location.

The names of the officials included have not yet been delivered, yet the specialists have said that two of the officials have been with the division for around five years and the third has been utilized for around three years.

The three of them are scheduled to be interviewed next week and are currently on administrative leave. In spite of years of nationwide protests, an estimated one in 20 gun homicides in the United States are committed solely by police, according to a research database.
