Iran fired dozens of missiles on Mossad base in Iraq

Twelve ballistic missiles were launched from outside Iraq to target US consulate and Israeli Mossad base in Erbil.

This morning (Sunday), the bases of the Israeli Intelligence agency Mossad in Erbil were targeted by missiles, news sources reported.

Nigeria21 news: Israeli spy centers in Erbil were targeted by missiles in midnight attacks last night. The media did not provide further details about the attack or the extent of the damage.

“Several security forces have been deployed in different parts of Erbil following several explosions,” Iraqi news outlet Rudav wrote.

According to initial reports in the Iraqi media, “12 missiles hit the bases of the Israeli Intelligence agency Mossad base in Erbil.”

Some sources state that the type of rockets fired was 122 mm Celsius. The report adds: “The alarm of the US consulate in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan, has also sounded and all US military bases in Iraq are on full alert.”

Iraqi media also reported that the gates of the US embassy in Baghdad were closed and full readiness was declared at military bases in Iraq.

The Kurdish network Rudaw reported, quoting Erbil Governor Omid Khoshnav, that no one was injured in tonight’s rocket attack on targets in Erbil.

The director-general of Erbil International Airport told Rudaw that tonight’s missile attack did not affect any flights and that all flights were scheduled.

“At the time of the attack, the American Patriot 2 and 3 missile defense systems based in Erbil in northern Iraq were not working,” the Iraqi media added.
