Many people do not know that “Arbaeen Walk” holds world records;
This walk that Shia with utmost love and devotion, Allah has considered and made unique in the world.
Let’s review the most important records of Arbaeen :

Since 2014, the population of Arbaeen has reached 26 million people, and the world is witnessing this never-seen-before huge phenomenon.
Thus, in recent years, the Karbala Walk has been called “the world’s largest annual gathering”.
As for the population, the only rival of the Arbaeen ceremony that can come to anyone’s mind is the “Kumbh Mela” ceremony in India, which of course is not a competitor either;
It is held once every 3 years and is not annual and it lasts about 2 months each time and is held in a different geographical area on the banks of the Ganga River.
The longest march in the world
The route from Najaf to Karbala, which is about 80 kilometers, is considered the historical path of Arbaeen walking; but the pilgrims’ main routes to Karbala are more than 640 kilometers long, and this amount of marching in total is a world record in itself.
The most international religious event
Arbaeen Walk has pilgrims from about 70 countries. It is not only the Shia of Iran, Iraq, the Middle East, and Asia;
Every year, pilgrims from countries in different continents, including Austria, Finland, Australia, Sweden, Denmark, America, England, Argentina, Colombia, Russia, etc., participate in the Arbaeen walk.

In some years, more than 17,000 processions are held on the routes of Karbala.
From the beginning till the end, this great hosting is the result of the work of volunteers who have the love of Imam Hussain(as) in their hearts.
