At the US Air Force Academy’s graduation ceremony on Thursday, US President Joe Biden slipped off the ground and fell after presenting the last diploma. He quickly got to his feet and walked back to his seat.
The 80-year-old US president stumbled forward, caught himself with his hands, and then, with assistance from three people, rose to his feet. Without assistance, he made his way back to his seat.

Biden pointed backward after being helped to his feet, seemingly pointing to the object that caused him to trip.
After that, he chatted with other representatives while grinning and indicating “thumbs up.”
Biden was fine, according to White House communications director Ben LaBolt’s tweets. He said, “While he was shaking hands, a sandbag was on the stage.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the president was “totally fine” as he boarded Air Force One for his return trip to Washington.
But Biden had another accident shortly after 7 p.m. as he “bumped his head on the doorframe” of his Marine One helicopter upon arrival at the White House.
The fall followed Biden’s commencement speech, in which he warned graduates that they would be entering the workforce in an increasingly unstable world, citing threats from China and Russia.
Biden, the oldest occupant of the White House, is up for reelection in 2024. American citizens are worried about a president who is over 75, according to polls. This month, Donald Trump, the leading Republican rival, turns 77.
After a physical examination in February, doctors deemed Biden healthy and fit for duty, noting that the President does not use tobacco or alcohol and exercises “at least” five times per week.
In a similar incident, last June, as he was getting off his bicycle, Biden slipped and fell but sustained no injuries.
