A landmine planted by US occupation forces detonated in the energy-rich northeastern region of Syria’s Hasakah, roughly two children died and three others sustained serious injuries as a result of the detonation.
The minors were looking for scrap metal near a military facility that houses American forces and trainers, according to anonymous local sources, when the fatal incident occurred on Monday on the outskirts of Qasrok village in the province’s al-Malikiyah district. SANA, Syria’s official news agency, provided this information.

The northern regions of Syria are littered with landmines dropped by Daesh and other foreign-backed Takfiri attackers, as well as unexploded weapons from the numerous bombs, rockets, and shells dropped by US occupation powers.
These exploding time bombs pose serious threats to individuals’ lives. In an effort to eliminate the abandoned dangers, groups work throughout the region, but they are unable to eliminate the numerous dangers that continue to kill regular citizens.
Unexploded weapons, such as landmines and cluster munitions, still litter people’s homes, farms, and playgrounds in Syria despite the war’s end. For years and decades to come, this presents a threat.
Since March 2011, Syria has been the focus of a destructive and violent campaign supported by the United States and its allies.
However, in recent years, Syrian government forces have been able to reclaim nearly the entire country from terrorist groups with the assistance of Russia and Iran.
According to the Pentagon, the goal of the US military’s deployment in northeastern Syria is to stop Daesh terrorists from getting oil from the oil fields there. There are US military personnel and equipment based there.
Damascus retains that Syria’s natural resources will be depleted as a result of the deployment. Donald Trump, the previous leader of the US, has over and again recognized that American soldiers were in the Middle Easterner country due to its oil abundance.
