Earlier in the week, it was announced that the Swedish king and queen had tested positive for coronavirus amid a surge of the Omicron variant in the Scandinavian nation.
Swedish Crown Princess Victoria has tested positive for COVID-19, the Swedish Royal Court revealed on Saturday.
The princess, who is fully vaccinated, is said to only have “cold symptoms” but otherwise feels well.
An infection trace has been initiated, the court noted.
“In accordance with current rules of conduct, the crown princess and her family have isolated themselves in the home”, the statement read.
The official schedule of both the crown princess and her husband, Prince Daniel, will be adjusted for the next seven days.
Victoria tests positive for coronavirus just days after her parents, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, also received positive COVID-19 tests. The king and queen are both vaccinated and have received their booster shots, and have also isolated themselves.
According to a report, Swedish Crown Princess Victoria has tested positive for COVID-19 and is experiencing cold symptoms, the Royal Court said on Saturday, adding that the heir to the throne was fully vaccinated.
Earlier this week her parents, the king and queen of Sweden, both also tested positive. The Royal Court said in a statement that the crown princess, who has contracted the virus once before, was isolating at home with her family.
Recall that it was earlier reported that, the king and queen of Sweden have both tested positive for Covid-19, the Swedish Royal Court said Tuesday.
The royal couple, King Carl XVI Gustaf, 75, and Queen Silvia, 78, tested postive on Monday evening, the court said in a statement.
Both vaccinated with three jabs, they had “mild symptoms” and were “feeling well under the circumstances”, the court said, adding that they were isolating at home.
Daily coronavirus infection rates have increased sharply in recent weeks in Sweden.

The Nordic country hit an all-time high of 11,507 Covid-19 cases in a day on December 30, topping the previous record of 11,376 from December 2020, figures released Tuesday by the Public Health Agency showed.
Daily case rates have since dropped slightly to hover around 10,000.
Other members of Sweden’s royal family have already caught the novel coronavirus.
In March 2021, Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel tested positive, and Prince Carl Philip and his wife Princess Sofia tested postive in the fall of 2020.
