News reports indicate that clashes have erupted between Hezbollah fighters and Israeli soldiers, alongside rocket attacks by the Lebanese Islamic Resistance targeting Israeli positions.
According to Al-Mayadeen news channel, Hezbollah has confirmed that its fighters are engaged in combat with Israeli troops who crossed into the border town of Marun al-Ras in southern Lebanon. The group stated that numerous Israeli soldiers have been injured in the ongoing conflict.
In a related statement, Hezbollah declared that in solidarity with the people and resistance of Palestine and Gaza, and in defense of Lebanon, its fighters launched several Katyusha rockets at the Israeli barracks in Zareit at 9:20 AM.
Shortly afterward, at 9:30 AM, missiles were also aimed at gatherings of Israeli soldiers in the settlement of Ovivim.
By 10:10 AM, rocket attacks targeted northern areas of Haifa, and at 11:30 AM, the Israeli settlement of Admit was hit as well.
These developments come hours after Israeli sources reported that four Israeli soldiers were killed in an ambush set by Hezbollah in the Al-Adisa region, with over 20 others injured.
Hezbollah’s recent operations have been framed as a response to ongoing Israeli aggression in Lebanon, which included bombardments in the Al-Khayam, Kafarkala, and Sahl Marjayoun regions on Wednesday morning.
Additionally, Israeli aerial strikes hit residential buildings in the Dahiya area of southern Beirut multiple times on Tuesday night, further escalating the situation. On Monday, large-scale attacks by the Israeli army began against various targets in southern Lebanon and have persisted since.
According to reports from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, these attacks have resulted in hundreds of casualties and thousands of injuries among civilians.
Hezbollah has voiced its commitment to respond forcefully to the targeting of civilians in Lebanon, initiating operations against Israeli positions and settlements in northern occupied Palestine and launching hundreds of rockets in retaliation.
