Invite both MD’s, Access Bank and GTB for questioning: Frank tells Security agent

After Godwin Emefiele, the former governor of the central bank, that was arrested and is currently the subject of an investigation, political activist and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has raised the issue of the need to invite both the Managing Director of Access Bank and his counterpart at the Guaranteed Trust Bank (GTB).

The investigation into the two bank executives, according to Frank, was required because of claims that they were key participants in aiding heinous acts of subversion and the theft of public funds intended for the welfare of Nigerians.

Timi Frank also pleaded with the UK government to work with Nigerian security forces to swiftly summon the pair for questioning in a statement signed and issued Friday in Abuja.

According to Frank, the two managing directors had received an invitation to an investigation.

According to him, this crucial information also reveals that, despite the Department of State Service having extended an invitation to these people to report and respond to allegations regarding their involvement with the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, there are active plans being made to thwart the invitation while resorting to seeking asylum in the UK in particular.

The MD of GTBank, who was seen chilling in the UK streets today, had repeatedly stated that he was unwilling to return to the country for any such cross-examination by the DSS, despite invitations being extended to these people to appear for questioning on Monday, July 3.

“We are also aware that four other managing directors of top-tier banks in the nation have been implicated as Mr. Dot Emefiele’s direct collaborators and conduits, with Access and Gtbank MDs having played the largest roles in the fraudulent deception and exploitation of the country.

“Therefore, I’d like to appeal to the UK government to kindly support the Nigerian government by forbidding any kind of extended stay for these people who are currently in the UK for personal reasons.

“By making the UK a haven for corrupt officials, the UK government must be seen as supporting the Nigerian government by banning any corrupt individual, whether they are private or public servants.

“As participants in the struggle for a country free of corruption, we’re determined to do everything in our power to help the FG rid Nigeria of all forms of corruption”.

We also need to draw attention to the Managing Director of GTBank’s purchase of two private jets, which had a value of more than $80 million but were not officially recorded anywhere in their books. To determine the sincerity of such generosity, this fraudulent acquisition must also be properly established.

Additionally, Frank urged the State Security Service (DSS) to “do everything in its power to track down and prosecute Nigeria’s enemies.” We’ve had enough of people exploiting the nation for their own gain.

“I am confident that the Department of State Service will consider this information seriously and take appropriate action to compel these people to account for their fraudulent roles in accordance with the law.

Should the DSS cooperate, we have other important information at our disposal.”
