At least six Pakistani soldiers have been killed in a shootout with heavily armed militants near the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.
As per an assertion by the military, the trading of fire occurred in the North Waziristan Region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa territory, a previous fortress of the Pakistani Taliban and other assailant gatherings.
“A fire trade occurred among fear-based oppressors and our own soldiers,” the military said. According to the report, three militants were killed and six Pakistanis soldiers were also killed”.

Three soldiers were killed when a bomber drove into a military base camp just outside of the rough Pakistani district less than a week ago.
Since the Pakistani Taliban, also known as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), revoked a ceasefire and failed peace talks with the government in Islamabad last year, it has been responsible for attacks on the state that have become more frequent.
The government claims that the peace talks enabled hundreds of militants and their leaders to be released from prison, allowing them to regroup and launch new attacks.
Kabul denies Islamabad’s claim that the militants have safe haven in Afghanistan to plan and carry out the attacks.
