Israeli forces have fatally shot a 16-year-old Palestinian during clashes in the southern part of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.
The official news agency of Palestine, Wafa, reported that Mustafa Amer Sabbah was killed on Friday by Israeli gunfire during confrontations in the village of Tuqu, located southeast of Bethlehem.

Sabbah was critically injured in the chest and taken to a hospital, where he was declared dead. Following the incident, the Israeli occupation forces closed the western entrance of the village with a flying checkpoint. The Shehab news agency of Palestine also confirmed the incident.
The disastrous shooting occurred following the demise of a Palestinian individual in the central region of the West Bank, who was allegedly involved in a stabbing and car-ramming assault against Israeli forces. The incident took place a day earlier.
The deceased, recognized as Ahmad Yaqoub Taha, aged 39, was fatally shot near the illicit Ariel settlement, situated in proximity to the city of Salfit in Palestine. As per the Israeli military’s official statement, he attempted to run over soldiers who were present at a junction in the vicinity.
During the recent months, there has been an escalation in Israel’s assaults on Palestinian towns and cities across the occupied territories. These attacks have led to the loss of numerous Palestinian lives and the detention of several others.
The majority of these incursions have targeted Nablus and Jenin, two cities in the West Bank, where the Israeli military has been attempting to quell an uprising by the Palestinians against their occupation.
According to Wafa, the Israeli forces have caused the deaths of over 106 Palestinians this year alone, including an elderly woman and no less than nine minors.
