Israel bought an Iranian Island that can be used as an alternative for the transportation of Israeli citizens in a natural disaster or war.
Users of the country and the Arab world have expressed their anger and condemned the Bahrain government for selling an island to Israel.
Bahraini and Arab world users have criticized the move on social media after the news of the Bahraini government selling an island to Israel came out.
Maryam Al-Khawaja, a prominent Bahraini activist, wrote in a tweet: There are reports that Israel has bought an island in Bahrain from Al-Khalifa; A regime that rules this country with violence.
He added: This action reflects the growth and expansion of Israel’s colonial influence in Bahrain.
Bahraini political activist Ibrahim al-Sharif also wrote in a tweet: Has the process of Jewishness of Bahrain begun? What explanation does the Al-Khalifa regime have to give regarding the news of the sale of an island in Manama to Israel?
The head of Bahrain’s Democracy and Human Rights Organization, known as Salam, also described the actions of the Al-Khalifa government as extremely dangerous and worrying.
One user wrote on Twitter, “Is it true that the Jewish National Fund bought an island in Bahrain?” I hope this news will be refuted. Bahrain is a small island, how can it sell a part of its land to a regime that thirsts for Arab blood and shouts anti-Arab slogans?
The Arabian Peninsula Studies and Research Center has also written in this regard: This action of al-Khalifa is treason. Bahrain sells one of its islands to Israel and prepares to give up its sovereignty over it.
Israel bought an Iranian Island!
Last week, Israel TV Channel 7 announced in the news that the “Himnota” company, which is one of the subsidiaries of the Jewish National Fund in Israel, bought an island from Bahrain. However, after a few minutes, it removed the news from its website without any explanation.
In the news published in this Hebrew media, it was announced that the said island has an area of 9,554 square meters and was bought at an auction from an Arab company for a price of $21.5 million. The island is residential and has investment plans as well as scenic views of its own.
Avriy Shanir, a member of the company’s board of directors and a representative of the Blue-white party, said in this regard: A skyscraper could be built on the island, which could be considered as an alternative for the transportation of Israeli citizens in a natural disaster or war.
The news of the island sale comes after it was reported a while ago that Israelis were continuing the process of buying houses through brokers in the capital Manama in order to increase the Jewish population in Bahrain.

In September 2020, Bahrain was the second Arab country to normalize relations with Israel after the UAE signed an official normalization agreement with Israel.
Since the al-Khalifa regime in Bahrain is considered a puppet government dependent on Riyadh, Washington and other foreign actors, it has never had the power to make independent decisions regarding domestic and foreign affairs.
Due to Bahrain’s dependence on foreigners and Saudi Arabia in domestic and foreign policy, this agreement with Israel is also being seen as an agreement made under the supervision of Saudi Arabia and America.
The agreement to normalize relations between Manama and Tel Aviv has also been condemned by people in various regions of Bahrain by organizing protests several times.
The Bahraini government’s actions to normalize relations with Israel have faced strong public opposition and have led Bahrain to join the list of unsafe countries for Israelis.
The people of Bahrain object to foreign interference in their internal affairs, especially Israel.
The Bahraini government’s close relationship with the Saudi Arabian government has opened the way for Israel to enter the country, and Jewish interference in the country has increased. Experts believe that Israel’s increasing influence in the country is dangerous for the country and the Arab world.
