Tinubu visit Daura alongside some APC governors to have meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

Still basking in the euphoria of his victory at the presidential poll, Nigeria’s President-elect, Bola Tinubu has stormed Daura, Katsina State.

According to Daily Post, Tinubu flew in from Abuja on Wednesday a few hours after he was presented with a Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Although the details of the meeting were not revealed, however, it might probably be on the need to pay homage and appreciate the President for the support he received during the electioneering process.

Tinubu was accompanied on the visit to Daura by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Adamu, Governors of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-rufai, Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, Ebonyi, Dave Umahi, Zamfara, Bello Muhammad, amongst others.

I Know Many Did Not Vote For Me

Meanwhile, the certificate presentation was done on Wednesday in Abuja at the International Conference Centre (ICC) by the INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu.

The APC Vice Presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima was also presented with his certificate of return at the same event.

Speaking after getting his certificate, Tinubu said he understands many Nigerians didn’t vote for him and are disappointed their own candidate didn’t win the election but everyone must put elections aside and work together for the sake of the country.

The former Lagos State Governor who described himself as a servant of the people added that the road has been long, and the battle has been hard but he is grateful for the victory and opportunity to serve Nigeria.

He promised to work day and night to make Nigeria better and give the youths and women of the country a sense of belonging.
