Palestinian resistance group Hamas vows retaliation, as thousands of Palestinians participated in a funeral procession for nine people who were killed by Israeli troops in the Jenin refugee camp. The mourners carried the bodies of the nine victims on their shoulders in front of Jenin’s Governmental Hospital in a funeral procession that clouded the city’s streets.
According to the sources, more than 70 armed Israeli vehicles stormed the flashpoint city and the refugee camp nearby, Israeli snipers were stationed on rooftops, and heavily armed Israeli soldiers opened fire on Palestinian youths who tried to block their way.
Saleh al-Arouri, Hamas’s deputy head of the political bureau, condemned the deadly act and promised that Israel would pay a heavy price for the Israeli massacre of Palestinian civilians. Al-Arori assured in a statement that the occupation will pay for the massacre it committed this morning in Jenin and its camp, and the resistance will not delay its response.

“This aggression against the Palestinian people in Jenin and the valiant West Bank will not stop the resistance, and our people’s brave fighters will remain in the field and will remain in a state of continuous confrontation with the enemy,” stated Ziyad Nakhala, the Islamic Jihad movement’s secretary general.
In a similar vein, the resistance movement Hezbollah in Lebanon strongly condemned the Israeli aggression. “The Palestinian people and resistance fighters who stand in face of the occupation and its criminality,” Hezbollah added.
In addition, Iran urged Muslim nations to unite in support of the Palestinian resistance to Israel’s oppressive actions.
Iran describes it as “shameful”, the silence and inaction of Western human rights groups and international organizations regarding the daily atrocities committed by Israeli occupation forces. “The operation aimed to arrest a prominent member of the movement,” the Israeli media added, “the military operation in Jenin was launched after intelligence from the so-called internal security service, Shin Bet, about the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement’s intention to carry out a major operation against Israeli targets.”
The Palestinian resistance movements, on the other hand, confirm that the Israeli raid occurs in light of recent escalations that have been on the rise, particularly in light of the new far-right extremist cabinet led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his extremist affiliates. Israeli forces have been attempting to stifle a growing Palestinian resistance in the occupied cities of Nablus and Jenin with the majority of the raids.
