Sex and the City actors Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis have praised the alleged victims of co-star Chris Noth after he was accused of sexual assault.
The group issued a joint statement Monday on social media saying they were saddened by the allegations against Noth, the actor who played Mr Big in the series.
“We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences,” a statement signed by the three read. “We know that it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”
Two women accused Noth of sexual assault in a story reported last week by The Hollywood Reporter. Noth vehemently denied the allegations, which date back to 2004 and 2015.
“The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false.
These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago – no always means no – that is a line I did not cross,” Noth, 67, said in a statement to the Reporter.

One of the women who accused Noth of assaulting her said his reprisal of his Mr Big character on the Sex and the City sequel And Just Like That prompted her to speak out about the actor.
On Monday, Noth was scrapped from the CBS series The Equalizer. Universal Television and CBS made a joint announcement that Noth would no longer be part of filming “effective immediately.”
Noth has played a former CIA director on The Equalizer, which stars Queen Latifah. Noth will appear in at least one upcoming episode.
Noth’s representatives had no immediate comment on The Equalizer decision.
According to a report, Shortly after the premiere of the spin-off of the cult series “Sex in the Big City” – “And just like that …”, the media was shocked by the news that the actor playing Mr. Big – Carrie’s beloved, allegedly repeatedly committed sexual violence against three young women.
The actor categorically denies the accusations. The stars of the show – Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis – have decided to make a statement on the matter.
“We support these women”
“We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth,” they underline in a joint text posted on Twitter on Monday.
“We support women who have decided to share their painful experiences. We know that it must be very difficult and we praise them,” we read.
At the moment, Noth has been accused by three unrelated women. Even so, v there are certain similarities in their relations. In the article “The Hollywood Reporter” published last week, we can read the stories of two of them – they appear there under the pseudonyms “Zoe” and “Lily”.
Three anonymous confessions
Chris Noth allegedly raped Zoe in a Los Angeles apartment in 2004. He claims that they met at a well-known company in LA, which is used by many celebrities.
Lily, meanwhile, relates that the actor invited her to his New York apartment after they had dinner and had a few drinks together. The woman using this pseudonym was supposed to be 25 at the time. She met Notha while working as a waitress at one of New York’s nightclubs. The rape was to take place in 2015.
In his previous statement, Chris Noth denied both accusations, describing both situations as “consensual”. The actor himself has been married to Tara Wilson since 2012, also an actress – the mother of his two children. The actor categorically dissociates himself from any allegations of sexual violence.
Noth dissociates himself from the allegations
“People I met years or even decades ago put them out. They are false. These stories could be from 30 days or 30 years ago — no always means It does not the limit that I did not cross “- stated Noth in the statement, stressing that he strictly adheres to the principle of” informed consent “.
The actor, known for the role of Mr. Big, also insinuated that the confessions of anonymous women appeared in the media right now. “It’s hard not to question the point at which these stories came out. I don’t know why they’re coming to the surface now, but I know one thing – I didn’t attack these women,” she states.
More victims appear
However, more testimony from an anonymous victim emerged last Friday. True to her words (the woman, who also wishes to remain anonymous, has been nicknamed “Ava”), Noth was to sexually assault her when w 2010 years she worked as a waitress. Noth again denied the accusations, and his representative described them as “fabricated”:
“This story is completely untrue, it reads like a piece of weak literary fiction,” he said. “Chris has never crossed that line,” he recalled the words of the actor he represented.
As we learn from foreign media, Universal Television and CBS have confirmed that Chris Noth will no longer work on set the crime series “The Equalizer”, which premiered on February 7, 2021. His art agency, A3, also resigned from Noth.
