Hamas: Resumption of negotiations with the Israeli occupation is like chasing a mirage

The head of the Hamas Movement abroad Khaled Mishaal said in TV statements on Thursday that the resumption of negotiations with the Israeli occupation to restore Palestinian rights is nothing but chasing a mirage.

Speaking to CNN TÜRK TV channel, the Hamas official said that “peace conferences have produced nothing but failure,” adding, “the Palestinian Authority did not gain anything from this path.”

He further called for uniting all Palestinian efforts in face of the Israeli occupation till restoring all Palestinian rights by all possible means including popular resistance.

On the other hand, Mishaal described the Arab-Israeli normalization deals as a stab in the Palestinian people’s back.

“Standing with the occupier against the Palestinian people is a betrayal of Palestine and the nation,” he added.

He said that “the recent normalization agreements totally contradict the unified Arab position on the Palestinian issue.”

He further called on all Arab and Islamic countries “not to repeat this historical sin against their countries and peoples.”
