Deji Adeyanju, a popular Abuja-based activist has claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari is not in charge of Nigeria.
Adeyanju accused Buhari of conceding Nigeria to bandits and terrorists, hence they are having a field day in the country.
The convener of the Concerned Nigerian advocacy group made the remark while slamming the President for “going tough” on agitators like Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho while bandits and terrorists were having a field day across the country.
In a tweet, Adeyanju wrote: “Buhari is not in charge of Nigeria. He has conceded the country to bandits. All he is good at is attacking peaceful protesters and those agitating for equality and justice.
“Nnamdi Kanu and Igboho are his headaches as terrorists are currently burning the country to the ground.”
Nigerians have been accusing Buhari of looking away from bandits while going after separatists in the country.
But, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has always dismissed such claims.
according to a report, Deji Adeyanju, a former youth leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has posited that President Muhammadu Buhari is “not in charge of Nigeria”.
Adeyanju said Buhari has “conceded the country to bandits”, terrorists he insinuated are having a field day. He also slammed the President for ‘going tough’ on dissent and separatists.
“Buhari is not in charge of Nigeria. He has conceded the country to bandits BH. All he is good at is attacking peaceful protesters and those agitating for equality and justice. Nnamdi Kanu & Igboho are his headaches as terrorists are currently burning the country to the ground,” Adeyanju wrote on his known Twitter handle on Thursday.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the Federal Government has been accused of preferential treatment with respect to groups advocating separation from the country and bandits — especially in the North-west Zone. But Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has refuted that notion.
“We noticed that of recent, there is this misinformation as regards the way the Federal Government, especially the military, is handling the issue of banditry and terrorism.
“There is this misconception that the Federal Government is softer on the terrorists in the North-east and the bandits from the North-west and the way they handle separatists and other criminals from the South-east and South-west.
“I want to say without any hesitation that this is a fallacy. It is a misrepresentation, misinformation and fake news all rolled into one,” Mohammed had said in a recent interview with NAN
It was earlier reported on September 14, that, Deji Adeyanju claimed that Buhari has technically handed over Nigeria to terrorists groups. The takeover of a military base yesterday in Zamfara confirms this.
He is not interested in fighting insecurity but critics and the opposition.
He hates IPOB & Oduduwa agitators so much but pampers terrorists. You will all see how the president will deploy 30,000 soldiers & police in an attempt to rig the Anambra elections but he ignores all the security challenges in the North.
These bandits have brought down a military jet & killed many soldiers & citizens but he is not concerned.
