MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Competition: How Parents Can Bring Out The Genius In Their Children – Omoni Oboli

Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli urges Parents and caregivers to help enhance their children and wards spelling ability to improve their vocabulary.

Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli made this call against the backdrop of the 2021 edition of the MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Competition.

In a video on her Instagram page, Oboli encouraged parents to support and motivate their children and wards in their creative and academic activities in a bid to helping them achieve their full potential.

According to Oboli, “Every child is a genius at something. It is up to us as parents, teachers, and guardians to help them discover what that is and support them to be as good at it as they can be.”

Oboli called on parents, guardians, and teachers to take advantage of the MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Competition as an opportunity to support their children to showcase their genius.

The MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Competition which is in its third year, is open to pupils and students between the ages of 9 and 15 from primary and secondary schools in Nigeria.

Prospective participants may register to participate on www.mtnonline.com/mpulse. Registration closes on October 3, 2021.

A spelling bee is a competition in which participants are asked to spell a broad selection of words, usually with a varying degree of difficulty.

MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Competition:

Following the maiden edition of the mPulse Spelling Bee, MTN Nigeria, in partnership with Nestle Golden Morn, invites all primary & secondary school students between the ages of 9 and 15 to participate in the MTN mPulse Spelling Bee competition. This competition which aims to help student in Nigeria, improve their English spelling and vocabulary, promises to be an exciting one with lots of exciting prizes to be won.

There are 3 stages of the competition. The first stage will be done on the MTN mPulse website and is open to all students resident in Nigeria who are between 9 and 15 years. The top 1,000 from the first round will be invited for the second round of the competition which will also be done on the mPulse website. The first 20 students with the highest scores from the second round will qualify 3rd stage and grand finale will be done online via live video conferencing.

Rules

  • Spelling Bee portal opens for practice tests at 3pm on 1st September 2021.
  • Round 1 Competition runs from 3pm on 13th September 2021 to 11:59pm on 3rd October 2021.
  • Competition is open to only boys and girls in primary and secondary schools in Nigeria who are between 9 and 15 years old as at 13th September 2021.
  • Participants must be resident in Nigeria.
  • Participant’s phone number used for registration must be on mPulse tariff plan. Dial *344*1# to migrate your phone number to the mPulse tariff plan.
  • Participants must have successfully updated their profile on the mPulse website.
  • Participants must have successfully linked with their parent(s) on the mPulse website.
  • Practice test can be done multiple times but each Quiz round can be taken ONLY ONCE.
  • Ensure you have quality Internet connection before taking the test
