The National Coordinator, Media Warriors, of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Chinedu Obigwe, has asked the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma and others to “perish the idea of winning the Anambra State November 6 governorship poll.”
Obigwe stated this at a press conference in Awka, Anambra State, on Thursday.
He said APGA had implanted its root so deeply in the state through legacy projects that no voter in the area would look the way of any other political party during elections.
Obigwe was reacting to a news report credited to the Imo State Speaker of the House of Assembly, Paul Emeziem, that Uzodimma as the head of campaign of the All Progressives Congress for the Anambra poll, had the capacity to win Anambra State with ease for the APC.

In response Obigwe said, “The assurance I’m giving the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly is that Gov Hope Uzodimma will suffer the worst disgrace in Anambra more than the disgrace he suffered in Edo State.
“We wonder the magic Uzodimma will do to win Anambra for APC because his ‘Ben Johnson Imo way’ magic will not work in Anambra.”
Recall that, Gov. Uzodimma says Nigerians are killed as rams under the Buhari regime
“It’s condemnable. It’s unfortunate that people kill human beings these days as if they are killing rams,’’ said governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo.
“It’s condemnable. It’s unfortunate that people kill human beings these days as if they are killing rams,’’ said governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo as violent killings continue to worsen across Nigeria under President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime.
He stated this on Wednesday after holding a closed-door meeting with the president.
Suggesting that the nation’s political leaders are the brains behind the widespread violence, Mr Uzodimma noted, “I will call on all of us as leaders, as Nigerians, to protect the sanctity of our nation and protect the interest of our country.”
He urged them to “respect and obey the rule of law and do things that are allowed by law and condemn illegal and criminal activities.”
The Imo governor also called on Nigerians to condemn crimes whenever they occur, saying justice must be served on whoever is found wanting.
Speaking on the backdrop of Tuesday’s attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna, Mr Uzodimma explained that people must not take the laws into their hands no matter their grievance.
“The business of government is the protection of lives and property, and we must act as a government and live up to the responsibilities of government,” said Mr Uzodimma. “So, we try to maintain law and order and condemn illegal and criminal activities as well as make those who are apprehended to face the law.”
