The chairman of Kebbi State National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Comrade Aliyu Haliru Bunza, has condemned in strong terms the killing of 22 travellers in Jos recently by some unscrupulous youths.
Speaking in Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital, on Thursday at his office, said extrajudicial killings with some sort of ethnic colouration is unacceptable and obnoxious.
He said: “The rate at which people particularly youth are being killed in the country calls for concern and coordinated actions against perpetrators to stem the menace, every Nigerian has a right to pass through any state without being harassed or attacked therefore such callous behaviour must be put to a stop he said.
Bunza who commended the security agencies for effecting the arrest of some suspects that might be connected to the attack urged them to ensure the law take its course by bringing to justice whoever is involved, he further appeals to them to expand their scope of the investigation to unravel the root cause of the dastardly act.

Comrade Aliyu warned those targeting mostly youth to forthwith desist while calling on youth in Kebbi to be good ambassadors of the state anywhere they are, they should always engage themselves in meaningful ventures such as farming and other hand trades.
Recall that 22 persons travelling from Bauchi to Jos were ambushed and gruesomely murdered by armed youths.
