Kane ready to commit to Spurs despite Manchester United's interest

Harry Kane could be set to extend his Tottenham stay beyond 2024 despite interest from Manchester United

Tottenham’s Harry Kane is believed to be open to a contract extension at the club, which will see him stay at the club beyond 2024 when his current contract is due to expire.

Kane could say goodbye to a potential Manchester United move by staying at Tottenham.
Kane is believed to be high on the priority list for Manchester United, who are in the market for a center-forward and were rumored to be preparing an €85 million bid for the England captain in the summer.

A new deal for Kane at Tottenham will most likely put an end to any possibility of a switch in the summer, as it means that the Red Devils will be priced out of a possible transfer and will also be unlikely to pursue a player who has shown commitment to another club.

Kane, who turns 30 in the summer, has been at Tottenham since 2004 and may very well finish his career at the club if he signs a new contract that is being prepared for after the January transfer window.

Kane looking to win with Tottenham

Throughout his career, Kane has remained a devoted employee of Tottenham despite interest from elite clubs. He has amassed 412 appearances for the club across all competitions and is only one goal away from becoming the club’s all-time top scorer with 265 goals for Spurs.

He has been the club’s top scorer in eight consecutive seasons and has won numerous personal accolades, including three Premier League golden boots, a Premier League Playmaker award for the most assists in the 2020/21 season, and an appearance in the PFA Team of the Season in five seasons.

Yet his personal achievements have never been punctuated by club achievements, as he is still yet to win any major honors with Tottenham.

While it is widely believed that a move away from the club would give Kane a better chance of winning a trophy, it is becoming apparent that the forward believes he still stands a good chance of winning something with Tottenham.
