Property price index has been rising steadily in India over the years. The All-India House Price Index (HPI) published by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) grew at an annual rate of 3.5 per cent during the quarter (Q1: 2022-23) ended June, which is 1.8 per cent higher than June last year Is.

In an interview with Nikkei Asia, CLI said it plans to diversify its portfolio and is looking for investment opportunities in Vietnam and India. It aims to bring resilience in sectors such as supply chain and energy amid globalization shocks during the COVID-19 pandemic.

CLI whose largest shareholder is Singapore state-owned investor Temasek Holdings, is one of Asia’s largest real estate investment managers, with US$90 billion in property assets and US$63 billion under management.
